Scrapbooking Class

Good Morning!

Mother's Day Card - Part 2

I forgot to tell you about the inside of the card!

These grids are just great for lining up words when the stamps are clear.  The grids for the clear blocks, Perfectly Placed Guides, you can enjoy now and for at least another year!

Mother's Day

These are going in the mail to all the mother's in our family!  I hope you have time to honor the mothers in your family in some way this weekend.  It's the BEST job ever, but at times it can be pretty tough!

For this card I used a little "going out" and some staying here.  The greeting on the front is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  In the New Annual Catalog ALL the stamps will be available in clear or wood mount.  I thought this set was a gonner since you can only get it in wood right now.  I was wrong!  I got to look at the new catalog today and THERE IT WAS!  Teeny Tiny Wishes will come in wood and clear starting June 1.  Don't miss out! Staying on Top of Scrapbooking

Do you have folders full of pictures saved on your computer? Maybe you have boxes of printed photos gathering dust? Or maybe you have all of your photos organized but only a partially completed scrapbook? Whether you are just starting your first scrapbook or you are an experienced scrapbooker, here are some tips to help you get more done on your scrapbooks: 

*  Scrapbook your most current photos ... and then work your way back. This actually gives you a greater sense of accomplishment and keeps you motivated to keep going.

*  Use basic page layouts to save time. Just changing up the colors on the same layout changes the look. You can also use different embellishments (like Mini Vintage Tags #118763 or Designer Printed Brads #122940) for a fresh look. When you use basic page layouts, you can focus on what’s important - preserving your memories. The photos and journaling that you put on each page is what will make the real difference.

*  Add Simply Scrappin’ kits to the mix. These kits, like Country Club (#122371), come with Designer Series Paper, coordinating solid colors of textured card stock, and self-adhesive die cuts. These make creating coordinating page layouts quick and easy.

*  Lay out several pages first, and then go back and finish the pages, journal, and embellish. The Stampin’ Up albums come in different colors and sizes - like the Linen 12 x 12 post album (#1045190). The page protectors in these albums load from the top and offer the perfect place to store your page layouts, embellishments, and journaling until you complete your page.

*  Create mini books for specific events - like a new baby or special trip. Some On Board chipboard sheets (#114320), Designer Series Paper and card stock, the Top Note die (#113463), and a book ring come together for a cute little scrapbook.

*  Go digital ... and use the Designer Templates from My Digital Studio (#118108). The Summer Smooches Photobook Template (#129919) gives you 24 pages already done for you ... just add your photos and print.

Hopefully these tips will make scrapbooking even more enjoyable and result in even more scrapbooks for you to enjoy!

Baroque Motif and Ala Carte Thanks

Happy Monday!  I am going to miss Baroque Motifs and Elegant Thanks from the Ala Carte collection.  BUT I'm so excited to see the new catalog tomorrow!  That's one of the great benefits of being a demonstrator - seeing everything FIRST!

Happy Thursday!  Today is a quickie!  I'm getting ready for my STAMP BIG with my team this Saturday.  We get together once a quarter to stamp lots of projects together.  This time the theme is 3D projects.  We will be making eight of them!  If you'd like to join in the fun consider Joining My Team.  You can click on the link with that title at the top of the page for more information.

Today's sample is the thank you note I put in customer's bags for pick-up and delivery.  It's a cute 3 by 3 note and I put it in one of our Love Note envelopes.  Enjoy!

Clarification on Retiring Products

Please be aware of the following:

UPDATE:  Stampin' Up! Paper Snips and Craft & Rubber Scissors are NOT retiring.  They were placed on the list but have now been removed.

1.  There are MANY stamp sets.  In the new catalog ALL stamps will be offered in clear and wood.  This means any sets only available in wood are retiring along with the usual set of others.
2.  All the Classic Ink Pads are being redesigned.  We will still offer the same colors, just in a new and better form.  That is why they are all on the retiring accessory list.
3.  All the Craft Ink Pads are being retired.  We will only carry black and white in the new catalog.
4.  All the textured cardstock is being retired.  We will no longer offer this option.
5.  Much of the 12 by 12 cardstock is being retired.  They will be re-packaged with new item numbers that 's why they are on the list.Some colors will be offered in individual color packages.  All colors will be available by collection (color family).  
6.  Stampin' Markers are being re-packaged.  Only a few colors will be available individually.  The rest will be grouped by collection (color family).
7.  The Simply Adorned products are all retiring.
8.  Definetly Decorative products are all retiring.

Thanks Kindly Going Away

I have used this stamp set over and over. I sure hope the new catalog has a simlar set that I can use again! Today's sample uses lots of products that are going away - Thanks Kindly stamps (retiring 5/31/12), Blushing Bride cardstock and Beau Chateua DSP(anytime after 4/25/12), Blushing Bride Quilted Ribbon (4/30/12).
